All JKL awards are heavily contested and there is no vote rigging.

 Rules

Here are the rules:-

There will be the usual crowd of awards. Awards are nominated and voted for by eligible voters. As each award is announced, nominations can be made. There is no limit on the number of nominations, or on how many nominations each voter can make. Nominations can be made in person or by proxy, and proxy nominations can be made by emailing me or any other person likely to be attending.

After nominations have been made, impassioned pleas may be made, and after a while a vote will be taken. Votes may be cast in person, or by proxy, or on the telephone. Telephone votes may be made to any person attending. Proxy votes can also be given to me or any other person attending.

Everybody wanting to vote gets one vote. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by taking into account the aggregate number of gigs attended by voters voting for the tied artists/venue/song as recorded on the official list, (the higher number meaning victory) whether or not those voters are in attendance.

If they wish, voters can propose special awards, and then the usual rules apply.

Other rules will be made up ex tempore.

May the genuinely best artist win.
